"Cause: Acne develops as a result of blockages in the follicles. Hyperkeratinization and formation of a plug of keratin and sebum (a microcomedo) is the earliest change. Enlargement of sebaceous glands and an increase in sebum production occur with increased androgen (DHEA-S) production at adrenarche. The microcomedo may enlarge to form an open comedone (blackhead) or closed comedone (milia). Comedones are the direct result of sebaceous glands' becoming clogged with sebum, a naturally occurring oil, and dead skin cells. In these conditions, the naturally occurring largely commensal bacterium Propionibacterium acnes can cause inflammation, leading to inflammatory lesions (papules, infected pustules, or nodules) in the dermis around the microcomedo or comedone, which results in redness and may result in scarring or hyperpigmentation."

As you all can see Wikipedia gives us a difficult or "scientific" explanation of Acne. And I think that you guys don't understand anything like me from the explanation. All I and you know is that it looks awfull and that we want to get rid of it as fast as we can.
Wikipedia says also that it can be caused by "Hormonal activity, such as menstrual cycles and puberty ...", "The tendency to develop acne runs in families. For example, school aged boys with acne often have other members in their family with acne", "While the connection between acne and stress has been debated, scientific research indicates that increased acne severity is significantly associated with increased stress levels.", "Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) is the anaerobic bacterium species that is widely concluded to cause acne ...", "A high glycemic load diet is associated with worsening acne."

Now, we know a little more. Acne can be caused by hormonal activity, it can be in the family, stress, disease and your diet. We all know that the diet of a person causes the main problems so let's take a closer look to the problem caused by your diet. Wikipedia says "A high glycemic load diet is associated with worsening acne." A high glycemic load? What the heck is that? Let's ask it to "Wiki" (again). "The glycemic load (GL) of food is a number that estimates how much the food will raise a person's blood glucose level after eating it. One unit of glycemic load approximates the effect of consuming one gram of glucose"
Glucose? Isn't that sugar? Yes, it is! So that's it! We've found the problem, it's a high usage of sugar. And here we are. The lesson of this article is: Stop eating SUGAR! I don't mean "sugar" alone but everything that contains a high "dosage" of sugar.
